Affiliate With CKNB

We are all better together!  Just as the Body of Christ is meant to be a local expression of a diversity of believers, the Central Kentucky Network of Baptists seeks to embrace that same vision of unity between churches and ministries in our network.

Elements of Partnership

Here are the elements that any church affiliated with the CKNB can participate in and rally around. These elements stem from the desire to create healthy churches that equip and encourage Christians to live out their faith with love, integrity and consistency. With each of our affiliated churches pursuing these simple yet important expectations, we can see the positive impact that only God can bring to the spiritual landscape of Central Kentucky.

  • Involvement for the purpose of Inspiration, Instruction, and Partnerships

  • Assisting in giving leadership to CKNB Networks

  • Praying for the work of the CKNB and, as directed by God, partnering with other CKNB affiliated churches to advance the Gospel and make Disciples.

Network Level Affiliation

A CHURCH DESIRING TO BECOME A NETWORK CHURCH IS ASKED, AS EVIDENCE OF THEIR QUALIFICATIONS FOR AFFILIATION, TO SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING TO THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OR AFFILIATION SPECIALIST...

  • A completed application form supplied by the CKNB

  • Affirmation of “The Essentials of the Faith”

  • Copies of the following documents which have been approved/affirmed by the church: articles of faith, church covenant, church governing documents, as well as other documents that testify they are in agreement with the CKNB Essential Statement of Faith as well as a roster of church officers.

Upon receipt of this information the Executive Director / Affiliation Specialist shall review the material with the Affiliation Specialist and the President and arrange a meeting with Church Leaders. Once all materials are in order, the affiliation request will be presented at the next scheduled Executive Committee Meeting for their input and prayerful consideration. Upon the two-thirds approval of the Executive Committee the church will be affiliated with the CKNB and will be officially recognized as a Network Church at the next Annual Celebration.

Partner Level Affiliation

THE TARGET LEVEL OF INVOLVEMENT FOR A PARTNER CHURCH INCLUDES THE CORE EXPECTATIONS PLUS . . .

  • Contributing to the General Budget of the CKNB and/or to a specific CKNB Ministry Area

  • Being an active part of the Executive Committee. A Partner Church’s Pastor (or his appointee) and one other representative are granted voting privileges. A Partner Church is encouraged to enlist church leaders and members to attend Executive Committee Meetings so they may be knowledgeable of the work of the CKNB.

  • Completing and submitting the annual report provided by the CKNB

  • Their members are eligible to serve as General Officers and on the Leadership Team.

Member Level Affiliation

  • Contributing to the General Budget of the CKNB.

  • Being an active part of the Executive Committee. A Member Church’s Pastor (or his appointee) and two other representatives are granted voting privileges. A Member Church is encouraged to enlist church leaders and members to attend Executive Committee Meetings so they may be knowledgeable of the work of the CKNB.

  • Completing and submitting the annual report provided by the CKNB.

  • Their members are eligible to serve as General Officers and on the Leadership Team.

A CHURCH DESIRING TO BECOME A MEMBER CHURCH IS ASKED, AS EVIDENCE OF THEIR QUALIFICATIONS FOR AFFILIATION, TO SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING TO THE OFFICE OF THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR & AFFILIATION SPECIALIST.

  • A completed application form supplied by the CKNB

  • Affirmation of the CKNB Doctrinal Statement

  • Provide copies of the following documents which have been approved/affirmed by the church: articles of faith, church covenant, church governing documents, as well as other documents that testify they are of like faith and order.

  • A roster of church officers.

Upon receipt of this information the Executive Director/Lead Church Consultant shall review the material with the Affiliation Specialist and the President and arrange a meeting with Church Leaders. Once all materials are in order, the affiliation request will be presented at the next scheduled Executive Committee Meeting for their input and prayerful consideration. Upon the two-thirds approval of the Executive Committee the church will be affiliated with the CKNB and will be officially recognized as a Member Church at the next Annual Celebration.
