CKNB Fall Gathering Set for October 12 at Grace Baptist Church

Central Kentucky Baptists are invited to come together for an evening of worship, celebration, prayer, and partnership at the 2026 CKNB Fall Gathering, Monday, October 12, at Grace Baptist Church in Lexington.
The gathering begins at 6:30 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 811 Bryan Drive, Lexington. A livestream will also be available through the CKNB Facebook page for those unable to attend in person.
The Fall Gathering is one of two annual opportunities for churches across the Central Kentucky Network of Baptists to gather in one place—not simply to conduct the business of the Network, but to worship together, hear what God is doing throughout Central Kentucky, and celebrate the partnerships that connect our churches in ministry and mission.
Celebrating What God Is Doing Across the Network
The evening will begin with worship, Scripture, prayer, and the introduction of new church staff and guests before moving into the business session. CKNB President Steve Price will preside, with President-Elect Shane Mapleshelping welcome new leaders from across the Network.
A significant portion of the evening will focus on stories of ministry and partnership from across CKNB. Those attending will hear updates from Porter at Jessamine Station, Cross Culture Church, the University of Kentucky Baptist Campus Ministry, and the CKNB Bible Institute. Network Ambassador Chris Reiber will also lead a special Fayette County prayer focus, while Executive Director David Barron will share an update on the work of CKNB.
As highlighted in the video invitation, these gatherings provide an opportunity for our Network churches to see the bigger picture of what God is doing through Baptists serving together throughout Central Kentucky—from local congregations and church partnerships to Baptist Campus Ministries and other shared ministry efforts.
Looking Ahead Together
Because the Fall Gathering also serves as the annual fall meeting of the CKNB Executive Committee, churches will have an opportunity to help shape the Network's ministry for the coming year. The business session will include the financial report, consideration of the 2027 proposed budget, and the 2027 Leadership Team report and recommendations.
But the evening will not end with business.
The gathering will transition back into a time of corporate worship, followed by a message from outgoing CKNB President Pastor Steve Price. The evening will conclude with presentations and the ceremonial passing of the gavel before Shane Maples offers the benediction as the new CKNB President.
An Evening for All Central Kentucky Baptists
While messengers and church leaders have an important role in the business portion of the meeting, the Fall Gathering is an event for all of our CKNB churches. Pastors, ministry leaders, church staff, lay leaders, and members of Network congregations are encouraged to attend.
These gatherings remind us that no church ministers alone. Across Central Kentucky, God is at work through congregations of different sizes, communities, and ministry contexts—and our Fall Gathering gives us an opportunity to encourage one another, pray together, worship together, and celebrate the ways our churches are better together.
Make plans to join us Monday, October 12, at 6:30 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 811 Bryan Drive in Lexington.
Come hear what God is doing throughout our Network, connect with brothers and sisters from churches across Central Kentucky, and help us look forward together to another year of gospel ministry and partnership.
