CKNB Pastors & Leaders Invited to Dinner With the Mayor

Many are aware of the growing need for more involvement from the faith community in the area of foster care and adoption. It is a Biblical principle to care for the orphan, the widow, and the vulnerable among us.
The Lexington Fayette Urban County Government has recently instituted efforts to join with the faith community in Lexington to help stand in the gap and answer the call to minister to children and families in our community by providing care and support during their tiem of need.
As a CKNB Pastor or Church Leader, you are invited to join a select gathering of faith leaders, community partners, and civic leaders for an important conversation about the child welfare crisis impacting children and families throughout Lexington.
This private dinner will bring together leaders who are committed to strengthening our community's response to the needs of vulnerable children and families. Together, we will explore the critical role the faith community can play in supporting foster families, kinship caregivers, biological families, and children involved in the child welfare system.
Through collaboration and partnership, we can create sustainable solutions that provide hope, support, and stability for children and families across Lexington.
As we gather, we are reminded of a simple truth:
"We cannot all do great big things, but we can all do little things great."
Every congregation, organization, business, and individual has a role to play. By working together, we can build a nurturing ecosystem of support that ensures every child and family has the opportunity to thrive.
