Equip Leadership Ministry Family Cookout Was A Great Night For The Whole Family!

What a night! This past Tuesday, July 1st, our Equip Leadership event took on a different look as we hosted our inaugural Ministry Family Cookout at Immanuel Baptist Church, and it was an undeniable success. Pastors, church leaders, their spouses, kids, and even grandkids gathered for a wonderful evening filled with delicious food, fun activities, and a vibrant spirit of fellowship.

The air was buzzing with laughter and conversation as everyone enjoyed a classic cookout spread. Grilled hamburgers and hot dogs were the stars of the show, along with fresh salad, crispy chips, and juicy watermelon. But the fun didn't stop there, especially for the younger attendees! Kids flocked to the newly updated CKNB Block Party Trailer, eager to try out its exciting array of games. And for those with a sweet tooth, the popcorn, sno-cone, and cotton candy machines were working overtime, churning out an endless supply of treats that everyone enjoyed.

During dinner, CKNB Co-Executive Director, David Barron shared exciting details about the current upgrades to the Block Party Trailer. These enhancements, along with more planned for the future, will significantly expand the trailer's inventory, making it an even more valuable resource for network churches planning evangelistic and church fellowship events. This initiative truly highlights Equip Leadership's commitment to supporting its community.

The evening was blessed with great weather and an even greater sense of unity and fellowship among all who attended. Equip Leadership extends a special thank you to Immanuel Baptist Church for their generous hospitality in allowing the use of their picnic pavilion. A huge shout-out also goes to Steve Bruce, our fantastic grillmaster for the evening, and to David Barron for his vision and hard work in bringing this wonderful event to life.
