Helping Students Start Strong: CKNB Seeking Partners For Compassion Ministries School Supplies Outreach on August 7

The beginning of a new school year can bring excitement, anticipation—and for many families, stress over the rising cost of supplies. That’s why the Central Kentucky Network of Baptists, in partnership with Irishtown Mission Center, is stepping in to help.

Our Compassion Ministries School Supplies Outreach and Give Away will take place on Thursday evening, August 7, at Irishtown. This annual event is part of our ongoing commitment to serve the community and show the love of Christ in tangible, practical ways.

We’re currently collecting new school supplies and backpacks to give away to children and families in need. Needed items include:

  • Pencils

  • Erasers

  • Notebooks

  • Folders

  • Glue sticks

  • Wide rule paper

If you or your church would like to contribute, we encourage you to drop off donations at Irishtown Mission Center or connect with your local CKNB church to find out how to participate. You can also contact Pam Polkey, CKNB Compassion Ministries Ambassador by clicking the button below to get drop off times.

Let’s come together to make sure every child starts the school year with the tools they need to succeed. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus in Central Kentucky!
