This Christmas season, we are thrilled to announce that North View Baptist Church in Lexington will serve as a new host site for the Central Kentucky Toy Project, joining our network to bring joy and the message of Christmas to families in need throughout Central Kentucky. The event will take place on December 9 at 6 p.m., making North View Baptist our ninth toy store location this year!
The Central Kentucky Toy Project is a compassion ministry of the Central Kentucky Network of Baptists (CKNB), designed to spread holiday joy and the Gospel to families facing financial hardship. For decades, this project has fostered collaboration among churches to collect donations of new toys, clothing, games, and more, which are then offered at “toy stores” where families can shop at a fraction of the retail cost. These stores give parents and guardians the opportunity to select gifts they know their children will love, paying less than 10% of the regular price.
Volunteers are the heart of the Toy Project, dedicating their time and energy to make each event a joyful experience. They assist in running donation drives, setting up and managing the toy stores, wrapping gifts, stuffing stockings, and even baking delicious treats for shoppers to enjoy. Through this collective effort, the Toy Project brings joy to hundreds of children each Christmas season, making the holiday brighter for families across Central Kentucky.
We are grateful for the participation of North View Baptist Church in this cherished ministry and excited to see the impact they will have on the community.
