We’re excited to share two important upcoming events in partnership with Highlands Baptist Church and Irishtown Baptist Ministry Center, aimed at equipping churches for deeper, more effective compassion ministry in our communities.
Mercy Conference – April 26
Hosted at Highlands Baptist Church, the Mercy Conference is designed to be a rich time of learning, connecting, and growing in how we show the love of Christ through acts of mercy. Organized by Dr. Cheryl Erwin and Marilyn Creighton, this event will feature:
Breakout sessions on key compassion ministry topics
Ministry booths where attendees can learn more about various local and regional opportunities to serve
Whether your church has an established compassion ministry or you’re looking for ways to start one, this conference will be a valuable and encouraging time. Go to www.coffeetalkevents.com to register.
Certified Recovery Church Training – June 5, 6:00 PM
This hands-on training event will take place at the Irishtown Baptist Ministry Center and will be led by Gary Chidester from Isaiah House. The training will cover:
Building relationships with those recovering from drug and alcohol addiction
Trauma-informed ministry practices
How to disciple individuals transitioning into church life after treatment
This training will be especially helpful for churches interested in connecting with Isaiah House graduates as they begin to re-engage with local congregations following their recovery journey.
These events reflect our heart as a network to respond to real needs with real hope. We encourage pastors, ministry leaders, and volunteers to attend one or both of these impactful gatherings.
Stay tuned for registration info and more details. Let’s keep stepping forward in compassion and Gospel impact—together.
