VBS Resources Available: Central Kentucky Churches Unite for Vibrant Vacation Bible School Season

As the summer sun shines bright over Central Kentucky, many churches within the Central Kentucky Network of Baptist Churches (CKNB) have already kicked off their exciting Vacation Bible School (VBS) programs, filling their communities with laughter, learning, and faith. From the first weeks of June, churches have been buzzing with children eager to dive into Bible stories, engage in lively activities, and make new friends.

This year, the spirit of collaboration among CKNB churches is more evident than ever. It's truly a joy to witness how these congregations consistently come together, sharing their resources, decorations, and even curriculum to enhance each other's VBS events. This generosity not only strengthens the bonds within the network but also allows more children to experience enriching spiritual formation during their summer break.

For those churches still preparing to host their VBS later this month and on into July, a fantastic opportunity awaits! Two churches are currently extending a helping hand by offering their VBS supplies and decorations to other interested congregations:

  • Edgewood Baptist Church in Nicholasville: They are offering curriculum and other resources for the "Magnified" theme. This popular theme encourages children to "Magnify God," focusing on His greatness, care, love, forgiveness, and faithfulness. If your church is planning a VBS around this theme and could use a boost, contact the Edgewood Baptist Church office for more information. You can reach them at (859) 885-6211 or office@edgewood.today.

  • Crosswoods Baptist Church in Nicholasville: Also embracing the "Magnified" VBS theme, Crosswoods Baptist Church is generously offering their curriculum and decorations, including a beautifully painted backdrop! This is an incredible opportunity to enhance your VBS environment with ready-to-use visuals. If your church is interested in these valuable resources, please text or call Debbie Jaegers at 859-396-2630.

This spirit of sharing is a testament to the strong community and shared mission within the Central Kentucky Network of Baptist Churches. By pooling resources, churches can create even more impactful and memorable VBS experiences for the children and families in their areas.

Do you have VBS supplies you're willing to share?

If your church has resources, decorations, or curriculum from past VBS programs that you would like to offer to other CKNB churches, we encourage you to reach out! Please contact the CKNB office at admin@cknb.org, and we will be happy to update this post to help facilitate connections.

Let's continue to celebrate and support one another as we minister to the next generation this summer through the power of Vacation Bible School!
