At CKNB, we believe the love of Jesus is best demonstrated not only in words, but in action. Through the CKNB Compassion Ministry, churches and individuals across our network are coming together to meet practical needs for families in Lexington—bringing hope, dignity, and encouragement throughout the year.
Each month, specific items are collected and distributed to families who are facing hardship. These simple, tangible gifts become powerful reminders that they are seen, valued, and loved—not just by us, but by Christ.
A Year of Compassion in Action
Our monthly outreach efforts focus on seasonal and practical needs:
January – Blankets, Hats & Gloves Give Away Outreach As temperatures drop, we help keep families warm with essential winter items.
February – Laundry Detergent A basic necessity that many families struggle to afford, helping maintain dignity and cleanliness.

More Than Items — It’s Ministry
While the items themselves are practical, the heart behind them is spiritual. Every blanket, every bottle of detergent, every backpack and toy is an opportunity to reflect the compassion of Christ. By meeting tangible needs, we open doors for encouragement, prayer, and relationship.
The Compassion Ministry is a beautiful reminder that small acts of generosity, when multiplied across churches and communities, make a significant impact.
Get Involved
We invite churches across CKNB to prayerfully consider partnering in this ongoing outreach. Whether you collect items for one month or commit to supporting throughout the year, your participation makes a difference in the lives of families in Lexington.

Your generosity and outreach to these families is a great blessing. Together, we can continue reaching Lexington with the love of Jesus—one need, one family, one month at a time.
