Fall Missions Opportunities: Upcoming WMU Events & Dates
As fall approaches, churches across the Central Kentucky Network of Baptists have several opportunities to pray, give, serve, and participate in missions through Woman’s Missionary Union.
Elkhorn WMU is encouraging CKNB churches and ministry leaders to take note of several upcoming local, state, and national missions opportunities. From evangelism training and hands-on mission projects to special days of prayer and missions giving, these events provide ways for every generation to grow in missions involvement.
Here are several important dates to add to your church calendar:
Proclaim Evangelism Training
September 11–12 | Cave City, Kentucky
Kentucky WMU’s Proclaim event will be held at the Cave Area Convention Center in Cave City. The two-day gathering includes worship, breakout sessions, fellowship, and practical opportunities for participants to be equipped and encouraged in sharing the gospel.
Featured speakers include author and ministry leader Christi Gibson and former International Mission Board missionary and author Ruth Ripken.
Week of Prayer for State Missions & Eliza Broadus Offering
September 13–20
Kentucky Baptists are invited to join together for the annual Week of Prayer for State Missions and the Eliza Broadus Offering.
The 2026 theme, “Fill the Gap,” reminds Kentucky Baptists that God uses His people to bring gospel hope into places of need and lostness throughout the Commonwealth. Churches can access prayer guides, promotional materials, children's resources, and other tools to help their congregations participate.
Adult Changers
September 16–19 | Camp Schafer, Hawesville, Kentucky
Adults age 18 and older are invited to put their faith into action through Adult Changers, a hands-on missions experience combining service, worship, discipleship, and community.
Participants in the fall project will work alongside Ohio County Habitat and area churches on needed renovation projects. The registration fee is $55 and includes meals, a T-shirt, participant insurance, and programming.
Children’s Missions Day
September 19
Children's Missions Day gives churches an opportunity to help children discover that they can make a difference for Christ right where they live.
The 2026 theme is “ASK—We Can Pray Boldly, Like Jesus,” based on John 15:16. Churches are encouraged to identify needs within their own communities and involve children in serving others while intentionally praying for the people they encounter.
Royal Ambassadors Camp-O-Ree
October 16–19 | Tennessee
Royal Ambassadors and their leaders will have an opportunity to gather for the RA Camp-O-Ree in Tennessee. The event provides boys with opportunities for outdoor adventure, fellowship, missions education, and spiritual growth.
Keeneland Racetrack Ministry Meals
October Meet
The fall meet at Keeneland also brings opportunities for local missions involvement through the Keeneland Racetrack Ministry. Churches and groups can participate in providing meals and showing Christ's love to those who work within the racing community.

Day of Prayer for Associational Missions
October 18
Churches are encouraged to observe the Day of Prayer for Associational Missions on October 18.
This is an especially meaningful opportunity for CKNB congregations to pray for the work taking place through our network and sister Baptist associations, including pastors and churches, church planting and revitalization, compassion ministries, campus ministry, missions partnerships, and efforts to reach our communities with the gospel.
Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer
Local Gathering: November 7 | East Hickman Baptist Church
Women from across the area are invited to gather at East Hickman Baptist Church on November 7 for a local observance of the Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer. For 75 years, Baptist women around the world have united through this movement of prayer.
The 2026 theme, “Living the Good News: Faith in Action,” is drawn from James 2:17 and challenges believers to express their faith through both word and deed.
The official worldwide observance is November 2, with churches and groups encouraged to gather on that date or another day that works for their community.
GA Jam: Grow & Glow
November 7 | Shelbyville, Kentucky
Kentucky WMU will host GA Jam: Grow & Glow in Shelbyville on November 7. The event provides Girls in Action participants an opportunity to gather with others from across Kentucky for a day centered on missions discipleship and growing in their faith.
Week of Prayer for International Missions & Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
November 29–December 6
The fall missions calendar concludes with one of the most significant annual missions emphases in Southern Baptist life: the Week of Prayer for International Missions and the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.
Churches are encouraged to spend the week learning about and praying for missionaries and people groups around the world while giving sacrificially to support international missions. The 2026 national Lottie Moon Christmas Offering goal is $215 million.
Mark Your Calendars and Get Involved
These opportunities reflect the heart of WMU's mission: helping churches develop disciples of Jesus who live on mission.
CKNB churches are encouraged to mark these dates, share them with ministry leaders and missions groups, and consider where your congregation can pray, give, serve, or participate. Whether through a hands-on project, a special offering, a day devoted to prayer, or helping children discover their own place in God's mission, there are opportunities for every generation to take part.
We are grateful for the work of Elkhorn WMU and our local WMU leaders who continue to keep missions before our churches and help connect Central Kentucky Baptists with opportunities to carry the gospel across our communities, our Commonwealth, and the world.
