The Central Kentucky Network of Baptists (CKNB) is all about equipping our local pastors and church leaders. Each month, our Equip Leadership Lunch serves as a vital gathering point, bringing together spiritual leaders from across Central Kentucky for a valuable time of fellowship, networking, and leadership development. We believe these lunches are a fantastic way to engage with the churches we serve and invest in diverse growth opportunities for their leaders.
But as the summer months roll in, we know schedules shift with mission trips, family vacations, sabbaticals, and camps. That's why we're embracing the laid-back summer vibe by shifting our Equip focus from indoor lunches to outdoor Summer Equip Cookouts! It's a fantastic way to stay connected, continue to grow, and even engage our communities in a unique way.
June: Fresh Grills and Great Fellowship at Shillito Park
Our first outdoor gathering is just around the corner! On Tuesday, June 3rd, we're firing up the grill at Shillito Park in Lexington. Get ready for some delicious, freshly grilled burgers and a spread of fantastic sides. It's the perfect setting for casual conversation, deeper connections with fellow leaders, and a relaxed atmosphere to share insights and encouragement.
We'll get the grill going bright and early at 11:30 AM, so come hungry and ready to enjoy some good food and even better company.
July: Hot Dog Outreach & Gospel Conversations at Woodland Park
July brings a special twist to our Equip summer series. On Tuesday, July 1st, we'll gather at Woodland Park not just for ourselves, but for an exciting outreach opportunity! We'll be offering free hot dogs to everyone enjoying their day at the park. This isn't just about sharing a meal; it's a chance to engage with our community, meet new people, and potentially open doors for meaningful gospel conversations. It’s a wonderful way to embody ministry in a tangible, approachable way right where people are.
Setup for this outreach event will begin at 11:30 AM, and we'd love your help as we prepare to serve the community.
