The Christmas season radiates joy, generosity, and community spirit. Each year, the Central Kentucky Toy Project stands out as a beacon of hope during this special time. This wonderful ministry is already in action for the season, and excitement fills the air. On December 2 & 3, the first toy stores swung into action at Irishtown and Central Baptist in Paris. Another store was held Decemeber 5 at Gano Baptist in Georgetown, launching a series of events designed to spread the joy of Christmas across Central Kentucky.

Partnering churches dedicate countless hours to ensure that families in need can celebrate the holiday season with hope and happiness. With three toy stores operating this Saturday, December 7, and more planned for next week, we are witnessing a tremendous outreach effort that positively impacts numerous lives.

The Central Kentucky Toy Project has a rich history as part of the Compassion Ministry initiative from the Central Kentucky Network of Baptists. It reflects our community’s heart, driven by the mission of uplifting those who are less fortunate. Each year, volunteers come together across our Network area with a united goal: to make sure every child experiences the magic of Christmas through thoughtfully chosen gifts made available to families.
This year's project is especially meaningful, symbolizing the community's collective effort to embody the true spirit of the season. For instance, last year, over 2,000 toys were distributed to nearly 800 families, showing the substantial impact of our combined efforts. From the churches mobilizing their members to donate, shop and give, to the volunteers sorting gifts, everyone plays a crucial role in this beautiful tapestry of giving.
