Nurturing Growth and Health: CKNB Barnabas Team Launches Revitalization and Church Replanting Cohort

In the ever-evolving landscape of ministry, churches often face unique challenges that require innovative solutions. Recognizing the need for support in navigating these challenges, the CKNB Barnabas Team is excited to announce the launch of a groundbreaking initiative - the Revitalization and Church Replanting Cohort.

A Ray of Hope for Churches Looking Toward the Future...

Led by CKNB's Associate Executive Director, David Barron, this cohort aims to be a beacon of hope for pastors seeking guidance in revitalizing or replanting their churches. The program is structured as a weekly engagement, with three weeks conducted over Zoom and one week in person, fostering a balanced and dynamic learning environment.

Mapping the Journey to Church Health...

At the heart of this cohort is a commitment to assisting pastors in assessing the health of their churches. Participants will gain valuable insights into their church's current state, identifying strengths and areas that require attention. This strategic assessment will serve as a foundation for developing tailored plans for revitalization or replanting.

Growing Leadership for a Faithful Future

Acknowledging the vital role leadership plays in the health of any organization, the cohort will focus on honing the leadership skills necessary for shepherding a church towards greater health. Through collaborative discussions, case studies, and practical exercises, participants will develop a robust skill set that aligns with the unique needs of their congregations.

Meet the Barnabas Team...

The Barnabas team formed about 18 months ago for the purpose of establishing a local system of support to our Network Pastors, realizing that ministry in Central Kentucky is unique, just as ministry is unique in other geographical and cultural locations. The process of Revitalization or replanting cannot succeed in a one-size-fits-all format. While there are many great resources at the national and state level of Baptist organization, the goal of the Barnabas team is to take a "boots on the ground" approach, giving personal investment, guidance and support to our local churhces.

The driving force behind this cohort is CKNB's Associate Executive Director, David Barron. Drawing upon his passion for associational ministry, Barron believes that fostering church health is one of the greatest needs in today's ever-evolving ministry landscape.

He states, "Leading churches to greater health is the great need of associational ministry today. The Revitalization and Church Replanting Cohort is designed to equip pastors with the tools and insights needed to navigate the complex journey of revitalizing or replanting a church successfully."
